Far be it from us to resurrect old yuppie jokes. (Feel free to supply your own.) BMW, the iconic automaker, has teamed up via its California design team, DesignworksUSA, to create an espresso maker for Starbucks, the iconic coffee company. For those too uncultured to appreciate the many fine aspects of this amazing devices, here’s the bottom line that BMW didn't have room for in its 1,000-word press release: $599 direct from Starbucks or now in selected stores.

The Sirena (pronounced sirRENna) is produced in conjunction with Starbucks and coffeemaker maker Saeco (we didn’t look up that pronounciation). Sirena represents, BMW says, “the opportunity to experience unsurpassed coffee enjoyment at home … in the style of the espresso master [Barista] … using the newly developed semi automatic espresso machine Sirena.” It’s out as of this month.

For details, including a video on the awesomeness of Sirena, brewing tips, and recipes, see this Starbucks link. See BMW’s release below.
